A delicate balancing act

 A GP registrar gives birth just days before the clinical section of the RACGP fellowship exam. Feeling she has no other choice, she leaves the hospital to take the exam.

“She had no control over when she had her baby, but she had to go and sit that exam,” explains Dr Jan Coles, GP and past president of the Victorian Medical Women’s Society.
