Do pharmacy flu shots increase uptake?
Allowing community pharmacies to administer flu shots does not significantly increase vaccination rates in the short-term, if the experience of Canada is anything to go by.
Vaccine coverage has increased by 2.2% in provinces that have introduced pharmacist vaccinations, according to data from 481,526 Canadians collected from 2007 to 2014 .
However, the researchers expect the impact of pharmacy vaccinations to increase over time.
