Doctor who pushed for Kathleen Folbigg’s release relieved after ‘victory for science’

As Kathleen Folbigg reportedly enjoyed her first T-bone steak as a free woman, one of the doctors who called for her release years ago says science has won out.

Ms Folbigg walked free from Grafton jail on Monday after receiving an unconditional pardon from NSW Attorney General Michael Daley, following an inquiry into new scientific evidence that created reasonable doubt about her 2003 conviction for smothering her four infant children.
