Doctors back wider access to RU486

More than half of doctors polled by Australian Doctor back the widening of access to mifepristone and one third say they will do the training required to prescribe the abortion drug.

The online survey was conducted in the wake of a last week's surprise announcement by the Therapeutic Goods Administration that it had approved the registration of mifepristone - also known as RU486 - with family planning service provider Marie Stopes International as the drug’s sponsor.
