Doctors denounce AHPRA's black mark register
Doctors have launched a national campaign against AHPRA’s “black mark” register, which now includes links to tribunal misconduct cases — including those where the doctor was cleared of wrongdoing.
The regulator has so far added links to more than 50 complaints on its website, saying it will make it easier for patients to track a doctor’s complaints history.
The links to those cases where the complaints were not upheld include the wording “no adverse findings”.
But the policy is angering many in the profession, who describe it as punitive and unethical.
