Doctors in flood crisis thrown a lifeline
DOCTORS across Australia have mobilised support for their flood-ravaged colleagues in Queensland’s north, with one Gold Coast GP donating $300,000 worth of surgical equipment to flood-stricken Theodore.
GP and state member for Gaven Dr Alex Douglas donated the equipment to Theodore GP and former ACRRM president Dr Bruce Chater, who lost his surgery in the floods.
Dr Douglas urged other medical practitioners to help their colleagues in flood-affected areas.
