Doctors' scope of practice needs overhaul

A shake-up in doctors’ scope of practice is needed to boost productivity and ensure the supply of medical care meets demand, the first national report on Australia's health workforce has warned.

On Friday Health Workforce Australia (HWA) released its two volume report attempting to model demand and supply for both doctors and nurses over the next 13 years.
