Doctors warn of patient 'vitriol'

A Queensland Medicare Local is defending its decision to sign up to a UK-based ratings website where patients write in detail about their care experiences, which critics say will simply showcase vitriol against doctors.

Patient Opinion, which has run in the UK since 2005 attracting 36,000 stories, lets people tell their positive or negative experiences about treatment at the hands of hospitals, GPs and other health services.
