Dodgy products threaten professional services push

The push for pharmacists to play a bigger role in healthcare will struggle to succeed unless questionable products are removed from pharmacies, an academic believes.

Dr Michael Vagg, clinical senior lecturer at Deakin University, said "if they [pharmacists] want to remain a trusted source of advice they need to lift their game and get all the ear candles, homeopathy, magnets, herbs and supplements out of their shops".
