Doubts over accuracy of home BP monitors and FitBit

And the accuracy of the popular cardiac monitoring gadget FitBit has also been called into question in a US lawsuit that claims the devices may underestimate heart rate by 50%.

Tests carried out on 19 consumer BP monitors sold by pharmacies in the UK have shown that they performed well in laboratory conditions but less so when used in the real world.
