Drug addiction an increasing problem among pharmacists: Yeates

Reports of pharmacists becoming addicted to, and abusing, controlled drugs are becoming increasingly common, Gilbert Yeates (pictured), PDL deputy chairman says.

Speaking at APP2014, Mr Yeates highlighted an example of an employee pharmacist who had become addicted to controlled medicines from a pharmacy, which was only revealed after the pharmacist had admitted to going into detox.
