Drug firms to vote on naming doctors

More information on drug company payments to doctors is expected to be made public under a new code of conduct being considered by the pharmaceutical industry this week.

It is not clear how far the code will go in demanding companies name individual doctors receiving payments — either for speaker engagements or those receiving hospitality at education events sponsored by drug companies.
