Dual therapy effective in pelvic pain

Simultaneous use of Implanon and Mirena can reduce endometriosis-associated pelvic pain in women unresponsive to first-line medical therapy and surgery, Australian experts say.

Thirty out of 40 women treated with the dual therapy had “major resolution” of their symptoms, with four experiencing a “dramatic improvement”, Sydney specialists reported.
