Dying refugee brought to Australia for palliative care after GP campaign

Call for an independent medical body to report on the health of all refugees and asylum-seekers

The Australian Government has brought a dying refugee from Nauru to Brisbane for palliative care — buckling to a doctor-led campaign.

The asylum seeker, identified in media reports as a 63-year-old Afghan man named Ali, has terminal lung cancer and is believed to have only months or weeks to live.
