Early release call for bonded students

The controversial scheme forcing thousands of medical students to practise in areas of workforce shortage when they become doctors will fail unless it undergoes a radical revamp, a government-funded review has warned.

The future failure of the Bonded Medical Places scheme is outlined in the Federal Government's Mason Review of health workforce programs, published at the end of May.
