Eat fish not omega-3: Heart Foundation

The Heart Foundation has updated its position on fish and omega-3 supplements, based on the latest evidence.

It concludes that a diet high in fish is consistently associated with lower rates of sudden cardiac death, stroke, heart failure and heart attack.
But there is no evidence to support the consumption of omega-3 supplementation for the primary or secondary prevention of coronary heart disease, according to an extensive review of literature
