Ebola turns doctor’s eye green

Ebola virus has been found lurking in a 43-year-old US doctor's eye 14 weeks after he was diagnosed with the disease and nine weeks after the virus was cleared from his blood and urine.

According to a case report in the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr Ian Crozier contracted Ebola in September last year while volunteering in a treatment centre in Sierra Leone, and was transferred to the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta for treatment.
