Editor's note: Terry McMaster
Terry McMaster has been a columnist writing on financial issues for Australian Doctor for more than 20 years.
On Thursday, he collapsed during an appearance at the Financial Services Royal Commission where he was giving evidence as head of Dover Financial.
We contacted his office this morning to check he is recovering well.
During the hearing he was asked about his decision to hire two financial advisers who, at the time, were being investigated for serious breaches of ASIC's regulations.
He was also questioned about clauses in the company’s customer protection policies that allegedly absolved advisers of responsibility for bad conduct.
On Friday, Commissioner Kenneth Hayne excused Mr McMaster from further attendance, but said he would consider hearing more evidence from Mr McMaster if he wanted the opportunity.
