Endometrial cancer tsunami on its way

Australia is facing a “tsunami” of endometrial cancers as the age of obesity onset declines, says an oncologist who wants her colleagues and GPs to encourage lifestyle changes among their patients.

“Many oncologists and GPs may not be aware, but endometrial cancer is rising rapidly because of obesity,” says Dr Diana Adams, a Sydney chemotherapy medical oncologist with a special interest in gynaecological cancers.
