Evidence-based CAM products to be listed

The Therapeutic Goods Administration says it is only "weeks" away from creating a list of properly tested complementary medicines in response to ongoing criticisms of a lack of transparency.

The list, which is expected to contain no more than a dozen products, was one of several recommendations put to the TGA by anti-quackery campaigner, Dr Ken Harvey and consumer watchdog Choice, in a letter last October.
The TGA endorsed the proposal and said it would begin work on it, but months later there is still no such list.
