Exclusive: NSW Medical Council backs exemptions to mandatory reporting regime

The Medical Council of NSW says it will support changes to mandatory reporting laws to exempt health practitioners from reporting doctors under their care.
It comes amid a long-running campaign for the rules to change over concerns that doctors are avoiding seeking medical care because they fear being investigated by regulators.
