Experts claim IVF used too early

In an analysis published in the British Medical Journal, researchers from the Netherlands, the UK and the University of South Australia argue couples with unexplained fertility issues, including mild male infertility and endometriosis, are undergoing IVF before it is medically necessary.

Professor Ben Mol from the Robinson Institute at the University of South Australia said while the number of IVF cycles a year in Australia has increased by almost 50% in the last four years, from 46,000 to 65,000, up to 30% of couples
