Extra 10 mins of resuscitation saves lives

Lives could be saved if patients were routinely resuscitated for an extra 10 minutes after cardiac arrest, a large study suggests.

The study of more than 64,000 hospital patients who had cardiac arrests in the US found those resuscitated for longer were more likely to return to spontaneous circulation and be discharged.
