'Fat phobic' dietitians judge overweight patients

Overweight people have reason to be wary about seeing dietitians for health advice because they are unconsciously 'fat phobic’, according to Australian researchers.

A survey of more than 200 dietitians has found they are more likely to judge their obese patients as being less motivated and less able to understand or follow recommendations compared with patients with a healthy weight.
