Faulty breast implants trigger class action
More than 300 women have joined an Australian class action over the Poly Implant Prothese breast implants (PIP), as new cases of ruptured implants continue to emerge.
There have now been 155 confirmed reports of ruptured PIP implants, the Therapeutic Goods Administration said Friday — up from 123 at the start of February.
A further 16 reports are unconfirmed, and more are expected to come to light as the TGA continues its investigations.
