In-flight calls for doctors no drama
In-flight medical emergencies that require doctors to act as good Samaritans occur on a daily basis, but most are straightforward and have good outcomes, US researchers finds.
An analysis of 12,000 in-flight medical airline calls showed deaths were rare and few incidents were serious enough to require the flight to be diverted. Doctors provided assistance in just under half of all mid-air emergencies.
