Flu vaccine shortage delays 2015 program

The start of the seasonal flu vaccination program will be postponed this year because of manufacturing problems with the reformulated influenza vaccine, GPs have been told.

The National Seasonal Influenza Immunisation Program will not commence on its usual start date of 15 March because there are insufficient supplies of some brands of flu vaccine, the Department of Health has announced.
