Influenza vaccination is associated with a nearly one-third reduction in mortality among hospitalised patients, according to the first data of their kind from Australia.

Infectious diseases physician Professor Allen Cheng, from Monash University in Melbourne, and colleagues analysed outcomes among 9300 patients with flu admitted to 17 Australian hospitals and compared
