Former AMA president elected World Medical Association chair

FORMER AMA president Dr Mukesh Haikerwal (AO) has been elected World Medical Association chair at the 188th WMA Council Session in Sydney this morning.

AMA president Dr Andrew Pesce said Dr Haikerwal's appointment reflected the respect and high regard in which he was held by his medical colleagues around the world.
