Four things the Pharmacy Board wants you to know about emergency supply
Some pharmacists are risking disciplinary action because they are not complying with rules for dispensing without a prescription, says the Pharmacy Board.
It could be that some are confused by legal provisions for emergency supply, the board writes in its latest newsletter.
“By not complying with the applicable legal requirements, pharmacists may be putting their patients at risk, and may face prosecution by the relevant regulator and/or other disciplinary action by the board.”
