Funding for CAM is plentiful, says Friends of Science

It’s a common misconception that the complementary and alternative medicine industry lacks funding for research, says Professor John Dwyer, president of the Friends of Science in Medicine.

He points out that nearly US$2 billion has already been spent on more than 3800 research projects by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, one of 27 centres that make up the National Institutes of Health in the US.
