Gaps in vax register mislabelling kids as 'unvaccinated'

Gaps in childhood immunisation records mean that many children who are up-to-date with their immunisations are mislabelled as only partly vaccinated, a national immunisation conference has been told.

Almost half of 508 children shown on the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) as being incompletely vaccinated were found to be fully vaccinated when parents were contacted and records analysed, according to WA research presented at the Public Health Association conference in Brisbane last week.
