Gillard dismisses super quarantine

The Committee for the Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) report also questioned whether the 61 recently formed Medicare Locals (MLs) could sufficiently influence general practice and suggested they were vulnerable to being shut down if the Coalition wins the 14 September election.

The report, Healthcare: Reform or Ration, said the growing number of services and the ageing population would leave future generations with spiralling healthcare costs, reducing the government’s ability to pay for education and infrastructure.
