Global life expectancy increases by five years
Australia’s life expectancy ranking has reached an all-time record.
The latest statistics from the World Health Organisation shows the country is fourth in the world, behind Japan, Switzerland and Singapore, but ahead of New Zealand, the UK and the US.
Those born in in Australia in 2015 will have an average lifespan of 82.8 years.
