Glut of mental health groups stifling care

The Federal Government must overhaul funding for the myriad of non-governmental organisations that clog up the mental health sector, psychiatrists say.

With close to 800 NGOs operating in the sector, the system has become "complex and inefficient", diverting funds away from patients most in need, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists said.
