Government bows to pressure to list new medicines on the PBS

THE Federal Government has today caved under pressure from patient advocacy groups, announcing that 13 new medicines previously on hold after PBAC approval will now be listed on the PBS.

Health Minister Nicola Roxon said additional listings and new indications for several other drugs would be available on the PBS from 1 September and cost the Government more than $200 million.
