GP convicted of murdering wife with insulin

A GP has been convicted of murdering his wife by injecting her in the buttock with a lethal dose of fast-acting insulin.

Dr Brian Kenneth Crickitt had denied killing Christine Crickitt, on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day in 2010 at their Woodbine home in Sydney.

On Thursday in the NSW Supreme Court, Justice Clifton Hoeben — who heard the trial without a jury — found the GP guilty of murder.

Crickitt had seen a patient with diabetes on 31 December and carried out Google searches for “insulin overdose”.
