GP loses $450k inappropriate billing case
A GP ordered to repay almost half a million dollars in inappropriately claimed Medicare rebates has lost his fight to have the decision overturned.
Dr Nicholas Sevdalis was ordered to repay $453,000 and handed a two-year MBS ban in April 2015 following a Professional Services Review probe into his billing of home visits, level C consults and GP management plans.
On Tuesday, the Federal Court dismissed the Melbourne GP's appeal to overturn the decision.
