GP practice partner found guilty of voyeurism

A British GP and practice partner may find himself behind bars after being found guilty of voyeurism.

A UK court heard that he used mobile phones to film female patients during consultations.

It took just an hour to convict Thair Altaii, 55, on three counts of voyeurism, involving two patients between 2008 and 2014 and the 300 pictures he took of them. 

He will be sentenced in August and may face a prison sentence, the UK's Daily Mail say.

Altaii consistently maintained his innocence throughout the trial, denying voyeurism charges and claiming the images and footage were taken at his surgery for training and self-assessment.

But jurors heard there could be as many as 19,000 images of women on his laptop, “apparently taken in the surgery environment”, along with video footage.
