GP registrar training goes walkabout

While the pressure is on for Australians to change their sedentary lifestyles, one general practice has stepped up by swapping its traditional deskbound teaching sessions for a weekly walk.

In the peaceful, rural town of Moss Vale, NSW, a GP trainer, three GP registrars and one Prevocational General Practice Placements Program doctor take an hour-long jaunt around the town's historical buildings and tree-lined streets, where they discuss interesting cases, readings or topics, and relate them back to patients.
