GP study uncovers inappropriate prescribing

Melbourne researchers have uncovered an alarming rate of inappropriate prescribing of hypoglycaemic medications.. 

Among 10,000 patients with evidence of renal impairment, more than half were prescribed one or more inappropriate medications based on their eGFR, according to an analsysis of data from GP software involving  a total of 105,000 patients at 500  practices.
