GP sued over patient’s stroke

A Melbourne man is suing his GP for negligence after he suffered a brain stem stroke.

Anthony Gane, a 55-year-old carpet layer, admits to being a heavy smoker and drinker, and claims his doctor’s failure to diagnose and treat his chronic hypertension, high cholesterol and elevated glucose caused his stroke.
