Instead the NSW Medical Tribunal formally reprimanded Dr Riju Ramrakha and ordered him to undertake mentoring and courses in ethics, prescribing and management of pain, depression and anxiety, as well as banning him from prescribing or handling addictive and restricted drugs.

The tribunal found Dr Ramrakha guilty of professional misconduct after he largely admitted to claims he:
