GP-naturopath to regain registration

The Medical Tribunal of NSW ruled Dr Carolyn Giselle Cooke, of Sydney, who appeared as a guest GP on ABC Radio, and who gave lectures on holistic medicine, must change her “deeply ingrained… habits” and undertake hospital retraining with a supervisor to relearn the “appropriate role of conventional and complementary medicines in the individual management of her patients”.

Dr Cooke’s registration was suspended for two and a half years for professional misconduct and unsatisfactory professional conduct over her treatment of two patients.
