GPs regularly discuss diet and nutrition with patients but they are less enthusiastic about taking weight and body measurements, a study finds.

While the latest data suggests Australian GPs provide over 123 million consultations each year, five million of which involve discussions relating to nutrition, until now there has been little attention paid to the type of nutrition care and advice given to patients.
