GP’s feeling the pain of a pharmacy jab
Australia’s primary peak care organisations have joined forces to reject the expansion of pharmacy services.
United General Practice Australia (UGPA) maintains that while integrating clinical pharmacists into the primary healthcare multidisciplinary team has merit, pharmacies are not the appropriate setting for the administration of vaccines.
The UGPA includes a number GP groups including the AMA, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Rural Doctors Association of Australia.
