GPs to get $1k to treat patients under Greens plan for chronic disease care

The Australian Greens are mooting the idea of paying GPs $1000 a year to manage a patient with chronic disease, but GPs warn the "devil is in the detail".

Announced at the AMA national conference in Canberra, the policy would see one million patients voluntary enrol with their GP clinic, which would receive the $1000 per year payment.
