GPs inundate AMA with angry emails over level B changes

More than one week after the new co-pay plan was announced, Australia's GP bodies have finally condemned the cuts to general practice, especially the gutting of level B rebates, following anger from the profession.

The level B overhaul, which will leave GPs only able to claim $11.95 for consults under 10 minutes, was a glaring omission in both the AMA and RACGP's immediate responses to the new co-payment plan.
