The Victorian Government has confirmed 27 cases, all in men

Victorian GPs are being urged to give free hepatitis A vaccinations to men who have sex with men (MSM) following a local outbreak linked to strains circulating in Europe.


So far, 27 confirmed cases have been reported in Victoria, with another 12 suspected, all in men and in some cases in men who were injecting drugs.

As part of its response, the Victorian Government said that from 22 January until 31 December this year, GPs will be able to order the free two-dose, monovalent inactivated hepatitis A vaccine for MSM through the Victorian
