GPs opposed to pharmacy consultation role: poll
The early indications of an RACGP poll shows most doctors are opposed to any extension of the clinical role of pharmacists.
The poll, which is ongoing on the RACGP website, asks college members to vote on whether they “Support the expansion of community pharmacists’ roles to provide basic patient consultations?”
To date, the response has been an overwhelming no. Of the first 100 voters, 84 voted: No, pharmacists are not medically trained
